The Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator Inc. (Midwest ISO) have re-elected one current member and elected a new member to its board of directors. Shelley Longmuir, who was first elected to the board, in 2005, will continue to serve on the board. Baljit ‘Bal’ Dail, CEO of both Aon Consulting Worldwide and Aon Benfield, was elected to join the board. Each will serve a three-year term.
‘Ms. Longmuir has made a significant contribution to the Midwest ISO during her first term on the board and we are pleased that our membership decided that we should continue to avail ourselves of her expertise,’ says T. Graham Edwards, CEO of Midwest ISO. ‘Mr. Dail brings a wealth of experience from the corporate and IT sectors, and we look forward to the insights and guidance he will bring to our operation.’
Longmuir is principal of SALongmuir Consulting and a former senior vice president for UAL Corp. She holds a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.
Dail is a former principal with McKinsey and Co. and has worked for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, JP Morgan and the Ford Motor Co. He holds a degree in computer science from the University of Warwick in Warwick, U.K.
