Meteodyn has developed software to forecast accurate and reliable production for entire wind farms and for individual turbines, according to the company.
Features of Meteodyn Forecast include the capacity to interface with mesoscale numerical weather prediction and the use of a computational fluid dynamics solver to increase the accuracy by taking into account local effects, including wake effects at each turbine.
In addition, Meteodyn Forecast provides meso-to-micro downscaling, predictions of up to seven days ahead, statistical analysis of errors, and computation of speed and production uncertainties.
