Battelle, an independent research and development organization, has hired Matthew Maiers as an open innovation manager for its energy, environment and material sciences global business. He will focus on developing new opportunities and industrial collaborations in the field of alternative energy.
Maiers most recently worked for GL Garrad Hassan as business development manager for the North American region, focusing on early-stage wind and solar energy development. He worked with developers, utilities, and wind and solar equipment manufacturers in the areas of offshore and onshore wind energy and photovoltaic solar project life cycles.
