Vancouver-based NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc., has named Hamish I. Marshall director of corporate planning, where he will help further develop NaiKun's corporate strategy as a bid is prepared for BC Hydro's upcoming Clean Power Call, according to the company.
Marshall previously served as manager of corporate planning for NaiKun in 2005 and 2006 before accepting a position in the prime minister's office as manager of strategic planning.
NaiKun Wind Development is developing North America's first offshore wind project in Hecate Strait off the coast of Haida Gwaii (the Queen Charlotte Islands). The 320 MW phase one project is located in an area known as the Haida Energy Field (HEF), host to some of Canada's best wind regimes. Construction is expected to begin in 2009.
