Gov. Martin O'Malley, D-Md., has appointed Washington Gas Energy Services Inc.'s (WGES) Veronique Marier to the strategic energy investment fund advisory board. Marier is WGES' manager of renewable energy and conservation programs.
The advisory board consists of energy experts and consumer advocates throughout the state. The purpose of the advisory board is to oversee the allocation of revenues collected from the nation's first greenhouse gas cap-and-trade auction to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from electricity generating plants.
‘Veronique is an environment-sector professional with 22 years of experience here in the U.S. and abroad,’ says Kimberly J. August, WGES' director of regulatory and external affairs. ‘She is responsible for the development and expansion of WGES' CleanStepsSM family of renewable energy and conservation products.’
