Maglev Wind Turbine Technologies, a Sierra Vista, Ariz.-headquartered developer and manufacturer of magnetically levitated commercial wind turbines, has named Laurence E. Blow chief consulting engineer. In this role, he will assist the company in the design and production of its turbines.
Blow's experience includes work as a senior associate at Commonwealth Research Associates, where he helped define magnetic levitation technology performance in feasibility studies for the corridors connecting various cities; president of management consulting firm MaglevTransport Inc.; and senior project manager at Transrapid International-USA, where he helped several clients in the U.S. define and promote magnetic levitation pre-construction projects.
In addition, he has provided support and consulting for the federal National Maglev Initiative and NASA.
