Knight & Carver Wind Group, a National City, Calif.-headquartered wind turbine blade manufacturer and repairer, has hired nearly 100 employees and dispatched blade-repair crews to over a dozen U.S. sites, including wind farms in Southern California, Missouri, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Vermont, Oregon, Texas, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, New York and Minnesota.
The company has also hired David F. St. Amand as a process engineer to be located in the company's recently opened blade production facility in Howard, S.D. A 28-year process engineering veteran, St. Amand will be responsible for writing manuals, work instruction guides and specification quality documents, as well as designing and improving total processes in blade repair and blade production.
Andrew Hammen has been named the company's first full-time account executive. He will be tasked with coordinating all new blade-related accounts.
In addition, the company has announced a name change for its wind energy division to Knight & Carver Wind Group. The name, which replaces Knight & Carver Wind Blade Division, represents the company's broadened role within the industry, Knight & Carver says.
