Juhl Wind has selected renewable energy consultancy Natural Power to provide asset management tools and services to its operating wind assets.
Juhl Wind will use Natural Power's remote monitoring and operations capabilities through its WindCentre and WindManager programs, both of which will be supported by tools and services for site performance optimization, Natural Power says.
Natural Power's WindCentre is an independent control platform operated around the clock 365 days a year. It is run by a team of experienced operators and facilitated by a purpose-built software solution that monitors health and safety management; work order recording; and site, wind turbine and substation access control. Remote fault reset services are also provided by WindCentre. WindCentre services are currently being used in the management of more than 1,100 MW of wind capacity.
WindManager is a web-based portfolio information management system that supports wind farm operations across the entire value chain, from plant technical status and planning to nomination and delivery of power into the grid, the company says.
