IXYS Corp.'s wholly owned U.K. subsidiary, Westcode Semiconductors Ltd., has extended the voltage range of its IXYS-branded, isolated-base pressure contact dual thyristor and diode module range.
The new modules, which are rated up to 3.6 kV, are available in three configurations – dual thyristor, thyristor/diode and diode/thyristor.
Applications for these devices include wind power converters, industrial drives and power conversion in the multi 100-kW range.
Available with repetitive peak, off-state voltage grades from 3 kV to 3.6 kV and average current rating of 327 A at 85 degrees C case temperature, these modules are constructed using a new bus bar design with more robust construction, according to the company.
