IDEAL Expands Into Hand Tool Marketplace

IDEAL Industries, a manufacturer of screwdrivers, says it has expanded its line with more than 60 new industrial-grade screwdriver bits and accessories.

The Sycamore, Ill.-based company says the move was motivated by marketplace factors. It estimates the U.S. market for power and hand tools at more than $9 billion, with screwdrivers being one of its strongest and most stable categories.

The company says the bits are engineered to meet the requirements of the MRO market, and only S2M tool steel – custom heat-treated for strength and durability – is used in their manufacturing. The bits are manufactured to tight tolerances to ensure the most accurate fit and full fastener engagement, IDEAL says.
