Hudson, Iowa-based Holmes & Holmes has introduced TowerMate, a perimeter dolly for wind turbine sections, which offers 40% shorter and 35% lighter loads than others, according to the company.
According to Holmes & Holmes, the patent-pending design is ideal for meeting Department of Transportation regulations, is easily permitted and needs fewer or no police escorts.
The TowerMate features three rigid front axles, and the three rear axles are castor. It has rugged high tensile (T-1) frame rails and is road-tested for over 750,000 miles.
