Hansen Transmissions International NV, a global gearbox designer, manufacturer and supplier in the wind market, has appointed Gerd Bersch as corporate director of strategic procurement.
Bersch brings to Hansen expertise in supply chain management, particularly in a gearbox production environment. According to the company, Bersch will help align efforts to establish efficient supply networks for Hansen's wind energy business worldwide, based upon the systems successfully used for their Belgian plants.
Bersch has worked for Schottel GmbH, Flender AG, Koenig & Bauer AG, ABB Kraftwerk AG and Volkswagen AG.
