Hansen Transmissions International, a global wind turbine gearbox designer, manufacturer and supplier, has appointed Jan Declercq as director of business development, sales and marketing for its wind energy business unit.
Declercq is chairman of the Agoria Renewable Energy Club, a network of Belgian companies who provide solutions, products and services in the field of renewable energy, and a member of several international technology councils.
At Hansen, he will be responsible for the further development of the wind energy business and its related sales and marketing activities.
‘Jan has been familiar with the wind industry for many years – and at an international level,’ says Ivan Brems, CEO of Hansen Transmissions International. ‘His experience and knowledge will contribute to the success of our further development in wind energy.’
Declercq holds a doctorate in applied sciences from the University of Leuven in Belgium. He joins Hansen after an extensive career at transformer manufacturer Pauwels Trafo Belgium, where he was a technology development and business manager.
