Hansen Transmissions International, a global gearbox designer, manufacturer and supplier, has appointed Luc De Proost chief business development officer.
De Proost has been a member of the company's executive committee since 2007. Prior to this appointment, he was chief expansion officer, responsible for wind gearbox expansion projects in India and China.
De Proost joined Hansen as sales project manager in 1995 before moving on to sales manager for Europe, regional sales manager responsible for worldwide sales through Hansen's distribution network, and general sales and marketing manager worldwide.
In his new position, De Proost, will assume responsibility for customer care, satisfaction and focus, sales and marketing, business development and aftermarket services for the wind gearbox activities of Hansen.
