UpWind Solutions Inc., an operations and maintenance (O&M) service provider for wind energy projects, has appointed Guy Dees as regional area manager.
Dees comes to UpWind Solutions with eight years of experience in the wind industry. He most recently served as the U.S. O&M manager for Clipper Windpower, where he was responsible for O&M, warranty, remote control center and technical documentation.
Dees also served in a wide range of positions at GE Wind, including field technician, regional manager and global training manager. In addition, Dees received the prestigious GE Wind Operational Excellence Award in 2005.
‘Guy has extensive experience in setting up and operating remote monitoring centers for the wind industry and has intimate knowledge of the internal operations of wind turbine manufacturers, having worked for two of them,’ says Bo Thisted, president of UpWind Solutions.
