Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co. Ltd. says several of its permanent magnet direct-drive (PMDD) wind turbines have received ETL certification by Intertek.
The ETL designation demonstrates compliance with the requirements of widely accepted product safety standards, as determined through independent testing and periodic follow-up inspections by Intertek.
Goldwind received ETL certification for multiple models of its PMDD wind turbines, including the 1.5 MW extended series products for low-wind-speed areas and the 2.5 MW series for several different operating environments. Goldwind's prior ETL certifications for its 1.5 MW PMDD series were awarded in August 2011.
With these certifications, Goldwind's wind turbine series are recognized as meeting all safety regulations in the U.S. and Canada on design, technology and quality, according to the company. In addition, Goldwind's full power converter and its permanent magnet synchronous generator also received ETL certification, thus meeting the North American safety standards.
