The GL Group says it has recently strengthened its offshore wind team with two appointments: David Robertson will become head of practice for U.K. marine and offshore project management services, and Elaine Greig has been hired as the new U.K. head of offshore at GL Garrad Hassan.
Prior to the GL Group, Robertson was a member of the senior management team at SSE Renewables, where was responsible for the development of the construction strategy across SSE's offshore wind portfolio. Before joining SSE, he carried out the construction project management of the 90 MW Rhyl Flats project and the pre-construction management of the 295 MW Nordsee Ost project in Germany for RWE.
Elaine joined GL Garrad Hassan from Vattenfall, where she was project director at the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre in Aberdeen. The GL Group says Elaine brings with her over 20 years of experience in developing and constructing wind farm projects.
