GE says it will supply the wind turbines, as well as provide operations and maintenance services, for two wind farms planned for Illinois.
The two projects – Settlers Trail Wind Farm, to be located in Iroquois County, Ill., and the Pioneer Trail Wind Farm, to be located in Iroquois and Ford Counties, Ill., are being developed by E.ON Climate & Renewables NA (ECRNA). GE will provide a total of 188 GE 1.6 MW wind turbines for the two wind farms. The new units will be covered under an existing ECRNA-GE operations and maintenance service agreement.
