Paul Dickerson, a former U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) senior official, has joined law firm Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC's energy and clean technology practice.
Dickerson, who was chief operating officer of the DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy from 2006 to 2008, will serve as "of counsel" for Mintz Levin.
Most recently, Dickerson was a partner at Haynes and Boone, where he founded the firm's cleantech practice. Earlier in his career, he served as chief of staff for the United States and Foreign Commercial Service at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Mintz Levin serves the energy and clean technology sector and handles venture-capital transactions (representing companies and investors), initial public offerings and follow-on offerings, private placements, mergers-and-acquisitions deals, technology licensing and joint-venture transactions. The group also handles the development, financing and construction of energy generating facilities.
