New Generation Power International (NGPI) has named utility executive Doyle N. Beneby Jr. as its new CEO, effective Oct. 1.
Beneby was formerly president and CEO of San Antonio, Texas-based CPS Energy, one of the largest municipally-owned electric and gas utility companies in the U.S. Before CPS, Beneby held leadership roles at Florida Power & Light Co., Consumers Energy Co., PECO Energy, ComEd and Exelon Power, where he served as president.
According to NGPI, Beneby will add his renewable energy and utility expertise to NGPI, which partners with local developers on solar, wind, geothermal heat, biomass and hydro projects.
