The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) service provider SkySpecs an exemption under Section 333.
The exemption is the only type of clearance that authorizes companies to commercially fly drones in the U.S.
According to UpWind Solutions – SkySpecs' wind industry partner partner – such UAV technology allows for the safe and efficient inspection of the turbine tower, nacelle and blades.
