Enercon has announced plans to launch strong-wind versions of its E-82 and E-101 series wind turbines.
Both turbines were originally available as Class II versions, but the new Class I E-82 will have a rated capacity of 2.35 MW, while the new E-101 will have a rated capacity of 3.05 MW.
Enercon says the strong-wind versions are primarily destined for export markets. The company plans to make the new E-82 available in 2015 and the new E-101 available in 2016.
