Enel North America Inc. says that employees at the Fenner wind farm in upstate New York, owned by its subsidiary Canastota Wind Power LLC, discovered a wind turbine on the ground when responding to an outage at the site early on Dec. 27.
According to Enel, there were no injuries resulting from the incident and an investigation into its cause is underway. The site has temporarily suspended generating power.
The Fenner wind farm consists of 20 1.5MW GE turbines.
