Dynapar, a manufacturer of optical and magnetic encoders and resolvers for several industries, including wind energy, steel and material handling, has introduced the compact Acuro XR absolute encoder. The new encoder incorporates three design elements that make it ideal for harsh applications.
The new encoder uses magnetic technology, and its oversized bearings handle high axial and radial shaft loads. The encoder is tightly sealed around the shaft and housing to resist liquid ingress.
The Acuro XR magnetic absolute encoder is built to order and available for the general market. Dynapar will market the encoder under its Hengstler brand name, and list pricing starts around $600.
