Gurnee, Ill.-based Drivecon Inc. has introduced a remote crane service (RCS) product designed to monitor and analyze crane operations from a remote location. The RCS can monitor, diagnose and program XT and XS series drives, CID hoist monitor or PLC with IBM-compatible PCs.
The RCS system allows the use of Drivecon's NCDrive programming software, which is the commissioning and monitoring tool for the XT and XS series drive products. It allows the comparison of parameter sets, changing of active application, and can save and print parameters and generate service reports to file and set references.
RCS monitoring also allows operators to troubleshoot issues as they happen, in order to ensure that the crane system is performing efficiently, according to the company.
