Acciona Energy has appointed Daniel Foley CEO of Acciona Energy North America. Foley will apply his experience in power marketing and the energy industry to solidify the company's market position in both wind and solar.
Foley moves into the CEO role from his current position as chief development officer for the company's North American renewable energy operations, through which he led the company's wind and solar development efforts throughout Canada and the U.S.
Foley's industry experience spans over 20 years of working within the energy industry, particularly in power marketing, where he negotiated power purchase agreements and alternative structures to support the construction and financing of electric generation facilities.
Prior to his work with Acciona, Foley was director of power marketing at Invenergy and provided risk-management consulting services to utilities, operating companies and other energy market participants as a senior manager for Deloitte and Touche.
