Gov. Chet Culver, D-Iowa, and Lieutenant Gov. Patty Judge recently introduced Roya Stanley as the director for the Office of Energy Independence. In addition, members of the newly formed Power Fund board of directors were named.

‘We have a nationally known director in Roya Stanley,’ says Culver. ‘She has worked for more than 20 years as an ambassador for renewable energy. Her credentials are exceptional and she will lead this new office with a thoughtful understanding of what Iowa can and will achieve in the field of energy independence.’

Stanley is returning to Iowa after seven years with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colo.
