Sinomatech Wind Power Blade Co. Ltd., a division of Sinoma Science & Technology, has purchased FiberSIM composites engineering software from Waltham, Mass.-based VISTAGY Inc. Sinomatech says the software will help streamline its design-to-manufacturing process so it can meet its goal of producing 500 sets of wind blades annually.
Sinomatech's design department selected FiberSIM because it enables faster design cycles, improves blade configuration; allows more accurate and detailed composite part and assembly definition; and provides support for rapid iterations between design and analysis for better blade optimization, the company says.
