Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based Carlo Gavazzi Automation has launched a complete line of wind sensors. The DWS series anemometers measure wind velocity from 4.5 mph to 67 mph.
The sensors can be used to increase the efficiency of wind turbines and for accurate monitoring with weather stations, according to the company.
The DWS series housings are designed for use in all weather conditions, with an operating temperature range of -4 to +140 degrees F. A shielded cable is also included, thus making the sensors suitable for use on wind turbines.
