Aveillant, whose technology aims to remove the challenges that aviation safety and air defense radar pose to wind energy development, has appointed David Crisp as its CEO.
Crisp is an experienced technology CEO and serial entrepreneur. After a 10-year career in the oil and gas industry at Schlumberger, he founded mobile communications software company Eden Group. After a brief spell as entrepreneur-in-residence for a Silicon Valley VC firm, he became CEO of ecommerce start-up Neopost Online Inc. Returning to the U.K. in 2005, Crisp joined wave energy device developer Orecon Ltd as CEO.
Aveillant was launched in October, with funding from DFJ Esprit and AIFCL, and is a recent spinout of Cambridge Consultants.
