Broadwind Energy has announced new wind tower orders totaling $35 million.
The towers will be produced at the company’s facilities in Manitowoc, Wis., and Abilene, Texas. They are scheduled for delivery in 2020.
“Wind energy installation forecasts are notably higher over the next two years as the industry continues to capture the benefits of the production tax credit,” says Stephanie Kushner, president and CEO of Broadwind. “We are pleased that U.S. manufacturing jobs will support this surge in development. These orders build on the previously announced $98 million of tower orders scheduled to be produced through 2020.”
