Black & Veatch, a global engineering, consulting and construction company, has expanded its renewable energy group. The company has shifted portions of its renewable energy group into existing offices in Denver and San Francisco, while also expanding its renewable energy professionals' presence in other offices throughout the U.S. and globally, Black & Veatch says.

The company's current work in the U.S. includes providing consulting and design services for wind, biomass, geothermal and hydroelectric projects.

‘Renewable energy is a fast growing market as we work with clients to incorporate emerging technologies into their long-term plans and implement proven technology today to meet growing consumer demand for additional energy supply,’ says Dean Oskvig, president and CEO of Black & Veatch's global energy business. ‘Many regions are quickly moving toward a goal of having 20 percent or more of the power supply provided by renewable energy sources – more than tripling the renewable energy supply.’
