American Superconductor Corp. (AMSC), based in Devens, Mass., has promoted Daniel P. McGahn to president and chief operating officer.
McGahn, 38, joined AMSC in December 2006 as vice president of strategic planning and corporate development. He was promoted in 2008 to senior vice president and general manager of AMSC. Prior to joining AMSC, McGahn was executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Konarka Technologies and general manager and chief operating officer of Hyperion Catalysis. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
