Ammonit Unveils New Data Logger, Online Platform

Ammonit says it has released a new version of its Meteo-40 data logger, as well as a new online platform, AmmonitOR.

The company says the new release features improved monitoring features. For instance, Ammonit enhanced its Meteo-40 data logger especially for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) applications. The new version is equipped with a RS485 interface, which is switchable between full- and half-duplex for SCADA data transmission.

The data logger supports Modbus communication protocols Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. The new version of the Meteo-40 data logger comes with an Ethernet slot as a replacement for the RS232 slot. Thus, external devices, such as routers or outdoor cameras, can be connected directly to the data logger for monitoring purposes.

In addition, Ammonit has released its online platform, AmmonitOR, which is used to monitor measurement campaigns 24/7 via Internet access. AmmonitOR does not require a direct connection between PC and data logger, and the system shows all important project information at a glance, the company explains.

By using the new Connection Log tool in AmmonitOR, the online availability of Meteo-40 data loggers can be monitored. Referring to the displayed online periods, users can work out the scheduled online periods – for example, to connect directly to the data logger for configuration purposes or to perform software upgrades, Ammonit adds.
