Clinton Township, Mich.-based AmeriChip International Inc., a manufacturer of dry machining parts for industries including wind, large truck and heavy equipment, has appointed Michael A. Kaptein to the company's board of directors as an independent member.
Kaptein is currently a managing director of Canadian Business Counsellors Inc. As a chartered accountant, Kaptein has over 25 years of extensive experience in the operation and sales of many types of businesses. He has bought, sold or started businesses in insurance, electrical, credit, software and motion picture completion guarantees.
Kaptein has also been a senior executive with full profit and loss responsibility in companies with gross sales ranging from $1 million to $250 million. Over the span of his career, he has been involved in the evaluation and acquisition of many business opportunities in Canada.
