American Wind Action (AWA), an independent and bipartisan group, has planned a highly targeted, six-figure broadcast and cable TV buy – in addition to a digital video and radio ad – that will run during September and October to educate the public on the social, environmental and economic benefits of wind power.
“We are launching this significant statewide campaign to make sure the public knows that wind power adds jobs and brings cleaner, cheaper, homegrown energy to their communities,” said Sam Enfield and Jeff Clark, two members of AWA’s board of directors, in a joint statement.
The campaign will begin airing immediately and will be seen and heard across Kansas.
In June, AWA announced its formation, appointment of a board and initial seven-figure budget that will be used to educate the public about wind development.
