Vancouver, British Coumbia-based Alterra Power says that its Dokie 1 wind farm resumed operations on July 18, two days after being temporarily shut down because of a nearby forest fire. The fire did not enter the project area.
Thanks to the cool, wet weather and the deployment of fire protection personnel from the British Columbia Forest Service, Alterra notes, the forest fire has been contained.
