Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has expanded its energy and global transactions practice with the addition of Stephen D. Davis. He has almost 30 years of experience representing clients in the U.S. and abroad on major transactions relating to renewables, cleantech, power and other energy sectors.
Davis focuses his practice on the areas of project finance and development; mergers and acquisitions (M&As); joint ventures; foreign direct investment; private equity and venture capital; and restructuring and reorganization transactions, including ones involving climate change, carbon capture, emissions credits and related issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Davis worked in the Houston and Singapore offices of another international law firm, where he was a member of the firm's M&A/private equity and energy transactions/projects practices, as well as a founding member of its worldwide project finance and development practice.
