Jeffery S. Dennis has joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld as senior counsel in its energy regulation, markets and enforcement practice in Washington, D.C.
According to the law firm, Dennis has a decade of experience at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), where he recently served as director of its policy development division. Previously, Dennis served as an advisor to a FERC commissioner and in FERC's Office of the Solicitor and Office of General Counsel.
Dennis will advise clients on an array of energy regulatory and commercial matters, the law firm notes. He joins a practice that represents clients including such as electric utilities, independent power producers, project developers, and electric and natural gas industry enterprises before the FERC, the U.S. Department of Energy, federal courts and state regulatory commissions.
