Tehachapi, Calif.-based Airstreams Renewables Inc., a renewable energy education and training company, has named co-founder Jeff Duff president and chief operating officer, and has promoted Lisa Gilbert to vice president of academic affairs.
‘Our team combines a unique mix of knowledge and experience that are perfectly suited to lead Airstreams to the next stage of growth and expansion,’ says Dave Schulgen, founder and chairman of the board.
In his new role, Duff will continue to oversee the expansion and daily operations of the company's renewable energy training and education programs. He is involved with numerous organizations, such as the American Wind Energy Association's education group to promote the success of the wind industry.
Gilbert will continue to use her expertise to enhance the academic process already in place and continue to execute milestones toward a national accreditation the company seeks to complete by next year.
She joined Airstreams in January as director of academic affairs and has successfully worked with California state officials to make the Airstreams program one of the first eligible training programs to be approved under the Workforce Investment Act.
