The Equinox Awards are given to individuals who demonstrate leadership in efforts to protect the environment and natural resources.
In choosing Murphy for this award, CCE commended her efforts to ‘reduce greenhouse gas emissions, advance renewable technologies and energy efficiency, and promote meaningful legislation.’
Past recipients of the award include Gov. George Pataki, Rep. Steven Israel and New York Power Authority President Richard Kessel.
