ZBB Energy Corp., a developer of renewable energy platforms, says it will provide an energy-storage system to Jackson, Wyo.-based Lower Valley Energy that will help the utility integrate a variety of renewable energy sources, such as wind power.
The system will include customer-provided lead-acid batteries and the ZBB EnerSection power and energy control center, and will provide an integrated energy-management platform ready for interconnection to a range of configurable renewable energy sources, including wind and solar.
The system will be used for load management and peak shaving while providing continuous power and energy regulation supply with a connection to the grid. The installation is targeted for completion in early 2012.
