Gamesa has announced that it will supply five of its G97 2.0 MW wind turbines for the 10 MW Gesner Wind Farm, which is planned for Highgate, Ontario – marking the company's first project in Canada.
The wind farm, which is being developed by Saturn Power, will be located near the northern shore of Lake Erie, between Chatham-Kent and London, Ontario, about 70 miles east of Detroit. The power output will be purchased by the Ontario Power Authority.
