The Wisconsin Public Service Commission has approved the sale of the 30 MW Montfort Wind Energy Center, located in Iowa County, Wis., to Milwuakee-based utility We Energies for $27 million.
The wind farm, which was owned and operated by NextEra Energy Resources, began operating in 2001 and features 20 GE 1.5 MW turbines.
