Wind Works Power Corp. has signed a contract with REpower Systems AG for the delivery, installation and maintenance of 15 REpower MM92-type turbines in a special cold-climate version for two wind farms totaling 30 MW of installed power. The 10 MW Whispering Woods project and the 20 MW Ganaraska project will be located in southern Ontario's Oshawa region.
Both projects have been awarded a feed-in-tariff power purchase contract by the Ontario Power Authority, and environmental studies are currently being completed for each project.
