Iowa Lakes Community College has established the We Believe Wind Energy student scholarship. This scholarship is a direct result of the college's We Believe Annual Giving Program and serves as a means to benefit wind energy and turbine technology students at Iowa Lakes.
Applicants must be full-time students in the wind energy and turbine technology program, possess and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, have non-traditional status (be at least 25 years old), display financial need by free application for federal student aid results and use the award for books and fees only.
The deadline to apply for this scholarship is April 1.
The college has also established the Iberdrola Renewables Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to help increase the number of qualified technicians emerging from the Wind Energy and Turbine Technology program.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in the two-year wind energy and turbine technology program and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The scholarship pays tuition, fees and books for the two-year program.
