White Construction Inc. has been selected by Horizon Wind Energy – owned by EDP Renewables – to construct 200 MW of wind energy in White County, Ind., and 100 MW in Kittitas County, Wash.
White will be constructing two phases for Horizon's Meadow Lake wind farm in Indiana. One phase will consist of 69 GE SLE 1.5 MW turbines, and the other phase will consist of 48 Suzlon S88 2.1 MW turbines. The work began in March and is expected to be complete by October.
White Construction has been selected as the civil contractor for Horizon's Kittitas Valley Wind Farm and will be constructing 100 MW, consisting of 48 Suzlon S88 2.1 MW turbines. The work is expected to be complete in October.
