Coquitlam, British Columbia-based Western Wind Energy Corp. has announced that its 120 MW Windstar project has commenced commercial operation.
The final turbine was erected at the project, located in Tehachapi, Calif., in January.
The company says that it is now in the position to file its cash-grant application with the U.S. Treasury.
