Laguna Niguel, Calif.-based WePOWER LLC, a company that develops and deploys urban energy systems and retrofits traditional wind farms, has completed its acquisition of patented and proprietary wind energy technologies from Torrance, Calif.-based PacWind Inc., a developer of vertical axis wind turbines.
‘Our firm's selective acquisition of PacWind's robust patents, processes and intellectual property is the next step in WePOWER's efforts to build a premier platform of wind, solar and magnetic energy products,’ says Marvin Winkler, chairman and CEO of WePOWER.
WePOWER recently announced the capacity to manufacture up to 500,000 PacWind vertical axis turbines in a 12-month period.
