Vestas To Supply Turbines For ‘Low Wind’ Site In China

0

Vestas China says it has received a 48.6 MW wind turbine order from Datang Hubei Renewable Energy.

The 27 V100-1.8 MW turbines will be installed at the Long Ganhu wind farm in China's Hubei province – a low-wind site with an average wind speed of five meters per second. Compared to other wind power plants in China, the Long Ganhu site is situated close to one of the high energy consuming areas of Hubei province, Vestas explains. Thus, this answers the call from the national government to pursue the development of distributed wind power in China.

The contract includes the delivery, transportation, installation supervision and commissioning of the wind turbines; a VestasOnline business supervisory control and data acquisition system; and a two-year service and maintenance agreement. The first turbines are scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of this year.
